Fun and adventure for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We focus on family camping, the famous Pinewood Derby, outdoor exploration, and building foundational life skills.
A youth-led program for boys ages 11 to 17. Our scouts develop real-world leadership through high-adventure trips, merit badges, outdoor survival, and the historic path to Eagle Scout.
An active, youth-led program for girls ages 11 to 17. We empower young women to lead through outdoor adventure, community service, merit badges, and achieving the Eagle Scout rank.
We are currently gauging community interest in chartering a brand new Venturing Crew here in Scarborough! Venturing is a co-ed program for older youth (ages 14 to 20) that focuses entirely on high adventure, outdoor expeditions, and youth-led leadership. Whether you want to plan rugged backpacking treks, whitewater rafting trips, or intensive wilderness survival weekends, Venturing gives older teens the freedom to choose their own adventures.
👉 Adult Volunteers Needed: To launch this crew, we legally require a committee of passionate adult leaders (ages 21+) to help advise the youth. No prior scouting experience is necessary!
Our Cub Scout Pack and both Scouts BSA Troops are proudly chartered and supported by the First Congregational Church of Scarborough. They graciously provide our weekly meeting facilities and partner with us to ensure a safe, character-building environment for local youth. Because we share this single chartering family, our leadership teams work closely together to provide a seamless transition for kids as they grow from kindergarten through high school graduation.
All three of our units meet regularly at the First Congregational Church of Scarborough (167 Black Point Rd). Because each program is tailored to different age groups, our meeting schedules vary:
Cub Scout Pack 47: Meets on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Drop-off and pickup take place at the double-doors of the Parish Hall.
Scouts BSA Troop 47 (Boys): Meets every Monday at 6:30pm. Meetings are typically held in the Parish Hall.
Scouts BSA Troop 25 (Girls): Meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm. Meetings are typically held in the Church Basement.
We generally follow the Scarborough Public Schools calendar for holiday breaks and severe weather closures.
Our annual popcorn fundraiser helps fund our outdoor adventures, camp scholarships, equipment upgrades, and community service projects throughout Scarborough. You can support our local youth directly by ordering delicious snacks online!
All items are shipped directly to your home, and a significant portion of every purchase goes straight back into funding our local Pack and Troops.
